LEXINGTON, Ohio (January 16, 2019) – Tickets to the 58th season of racing at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course are on sale now for all eight race events. The 2019 schedule at the legendary road course in Lexington, Ohio will feature its largest and most diverse spectator schedule with three additional event weekends added.

Now through February 28 until 9 p.m. ET, customers may purchase event tickets online at midohio.com or by calling 419-884-4000 at an advance price offering an additional savings. This also includes motorhome and tent camping, grandstand seats, infield parking, and paddock passes where applicable by event.

Mid-Ohio Season Race Passes remain on sale as well currently available at an advance price of $325. It provides over $1,065 in value of tickets, coupons and redemption offers, plus it offers exclusive fan access and additional benefits.

“The countdown to the 2019 racing season at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course has officially begun with event tickets on sale. It’s going to be a spectacular season with eight events showcased,” said Craig Rust, president of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. “We encourage our fans to buy now to save and secure the best seats.”

LEXINGTON, ON, October 11, 2016 – Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course has announced its 2017 spectator event schedule and that tickets will go on sale to the public October 17.

The historic race course’s four major professional events and dates are:

  • June 23-25: Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) Vintage Grand Prix of Mid Ohio
  • July 7-9: AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days
  • July 28-30: The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio, with the Verizon IndyCar Series
  • August 11-12: Mid-Ohio Challenge, with the NASCAR XFINITY Series

“Over the past several years we have been fortunate to see our attendance grow for our spectator events,” said Craig Rust, President of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. “If you’re a fan of motorsports, even a casual fan, there is nothing like enjoying a race weekend at the track, especially one like Mid-Ohio located in the beautiful Ohio countryside.”

In addition to its four signature spectator weekends, Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course offers racing of all kinds throughout the year, welcoming a staggering number of amateur racing series to the track from April to October. Many of the Weekend Club Events are open to the public for $10 at the gate and are free to Mid-Ohio VIP Season Pass holders.

Among the Weekend Club Events are a variety of Ohio Valley Region Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) competitions, F1600-F2000 races, Northern Ohio and Buckeye BMW, World Racing League, USAudi and CARFEST gatherings, among others. The 2017 schedule for these events will be released in the coming months.

As part of the ticket launch, race fans will also have the opportunity to reserve their camp sites and RV spots for the 2017 season early before they sell out. There is no better way to experience Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course than by staying at the park-like 330-acre complex during an event weekend.

Sonny Gee appointed as director of The Mid-Ohio School

LEXINGTON, OH, January 12, 2016 – Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is pleased to announce the promotion of Sonny Gee to the role of director of The Mid-Ohio School.

Gee has been with the school 13 years as fleet manager, overseeing the maintenance, safety and function of all vehicles for The Mid-Ohio School. In his role as director, Gee will manage day-to-day operations of The Mid-Ohio School for its 18 riding and driving programs.

“Sonny is a long-time valued employee of The Mid-Ohio School,” said Craig Rust, president of the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and The Mid-Ohio School. “He has been a loyal and hard-working member of the team for many years and his promotion is a reflection of the quality of his leadership, work ethic and performance. Tickets on sale now for track’s 55th season

Lexington, OH, November 30, 2015 – The 2016 motorsports season at the venerable Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course gets under way early as tickets for all events and reservations for classes with The Mid-Ohio School open open today with significant discounted prices available between now and the New Year.

The racing events for the 2016 season will include:

  • The Vintage Grand Prix at Mid-Ohio, June 24-26
  • AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, July 8-10
  • The Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio, July 29-31(Verizon IndyCar Series, the Mazda Road to Indy ladder and Pirelli World Challenge will all race)
  • Mid-Ohio 200 (formerly known as the Nationwide Children’s Hospital 200), August 12-13(NASCAR XFINITY Series, Trans Am, and the Formula 4 United States Championship will take to the track)
  • SCCA National Championship Runoffs, September 19-25(new for 2016)

Verizon IndyCar Series, Road to Indy and Pirelli World Challenge scheduled to compete

LEXINGTON, OH, October 27, 2015 — Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course announces that The Honda Indy 200 will return to the historic track, July 29-31, 2016, as part of its 55th anniversary season.

The Verizon IndyCar Series will headline the weekend’s activities with Ohio native Graham Rahal returning to defend his memorable 2015 win at his home track.

“We had one of our best events in recent history this past year,” said Craig Rust, President of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. “Having Graham in Victory Lane capped off a great weekend and we can’t wait to build on last year’s success, and to once again host one of the Verizon IndyCar Series’ best events in 2016.”

“I am thrilled that Mid-Ohio is back once again. After our great victory there in 2015, I can’t wait to get back and try to double up next year,” said Graham Rahal, Verizon IndyCar Series driver of the #15 Honda for Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing. “Being my home track there are so many great memories, but our win will always be at the top of my list and all of the fans that came out and supported us made it even more special. I’m very proud to be a past winner there and I can’t wait to get back racing at my home track in July.”

Young drivers looking to reach the Verizon IndyCar Series will also be showcased during The Honda Indy 200 as the entire Mazda Road to Indy ladder series will return, which includes Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires, the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires and the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda.

The Pirelli World Challenge, a fan favorite with its intense on-track competition, will complement the weekend’s line-up.

Additional spectator event weekends and ticket sales for the 2016 season at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course will be announced in the coming months.
