Our dedicated team attends every event in person, providing race fans worldwide with unique on-site perspectives, exclusive interviews, in-depth analysis, and fun travel tips.
Who We Are
TrackSideOnline.com is owned and authored by co-founder Patrick Stephan and long time INDYCAR insider Steve Wittich. Patrick has held an INDYCAR hard card since 2001. In addition to TSO, he has also worked with the INDYCAR Radio Network as a pit reporter and spotter for the Radio network and, more recently, NBC Sports coverage of the Indianapolis 500. In addition to over a decade with TSO, Steve has been with ABC and NBC Sports as both a pit spotter and, recently, a pit producer in the “truck.”
To supplement our coverage, or when we’re busy in TV land, TSO brings in racing veterans, including Tony DiZinno, Dan Layton, Diane Swintal, and other respected wordsmiths. Each year in May, we also feature the insight’s Butch Welsch, who has attended 77 Indianapolis 500’s in a row. Each team member brings a unique set of skills and expertise to ensure that our coverage is comprehensive and engaging.
