IMPCO will dedicate this racing weekend to its successful line of auxiliary power units, ComfortPro and the newly released ComfortPro E which will also be present on the Honda-powered machine as associate sponsors.

“We’re extremely pleased to be present at this year’s Honda Indy Toronto,” stated Bruno Balocco, General Manager of IMPCO Technologies “Dale Coyne Racing, Luca Filippi and the IndyCar Series offer us the perfect platform to bring additional visibility to our company and to our newly released Electric Auxiliary Power Unit, ComfortPro E. We’ve sponsored Luca in the past and are thrilled to continue that association with him for our home event. He’s had success there before and we hope he can do even better this year.”

Filippi will be taking part in his third race weekend on the streets of Toronto where he scored his best Verizon IndyCar Series finish at last year’s event.

“I’m very excited to be back with Dale Coyne Racing this weekend and to have the chance to race in the Honda Indy Toronto again,” shared Filippi. “I want to thank IMPCO Technologies, the ComfortPro team and Dale Coyne for giving me this opportunity. It’s one of my favorite races, not just because I finished on the podium in Toronto last year, but because it’s one of the best events on the schedule and I love to race on street circuits. I can’t wait to get back on track.”

“We’re happy to have IMPCO join our group of sponsors for this event,” added Team Owner Dale Coyne. “IMPCO’s roots go back to the need for faster and more energy efficient cars, much like our very own beginnings at DCR. It was only fitting for us to partner with them, and to bring Luca back for this great event in Canada.”

In addition to their location in Santa Ana (CA), IMPCO Technologies has facilities located in Europe and Japan, along with their manufacturing plant in Kitchener (ON), where the Idle Reduction products are designed and manufactured.

The Honda Indy Toronto takes place this weekend from July 15 to 17, 2016.
