Strong Run at Milwaukee Inspires Team Heading to Iowa

Indianapolis -For the second weekend in a row, short ovals are the challenge for the Verizon Indycar Series drivers. This time, it’s the shortest circuit on the schedule: the .9 mile Iowa Speedway.

Heading off a strong showing at the Milwaukee Mile, Gabby Chaves and the #98 Bowers & Wilkins team are looking for their highest finish of the season. A late yellow at Milwaukee negated a potential 6th or 7th place finish for the BHA team, and this weekend the team hopes for luck to finally be on their side…

The Iowa Corn 300 is always a favorite with the teams. The stands are always packed with knowledgeable and passionate Indycar fans. After all, as one fan told us last year, “there isn’t much to do while the corn is growing”. This is the second night race of the season, starting at 8:50pm ET (coverage starts at 8pm ET on NBCSN and the Indycar Radio Network).

Gabby Chaves on the Iowa Corn 300:
“We’re looking forward to Iowa and finding some more speed on the #98 Bowers and Wilkins car. We learned a lot last weekend at Milwaukee and are confident that we have a good car for this weekend. It’s nice to come off of a weekend with positive momentum and carry that on to see what results we can make here.”
