Tricky Weather Proves Difficult to Perfect Setup
Gabby Chaves also moved into fifteenth in season points; proving the consistency of the team’s preparations and Chaves’s driving. To date, the leading rookie in the Verizon IndyCar Series has completed all but four laps in the racing events.
Gabby Chaves on the Honda Indy Toronto:
“We had a race where we still managed to finish the race, learn some more. We definitely struggled with pace, it was tough with so few laps in practice to get the car dialed in where I needed it. I’m happy we got a finish as it was tricky out there today, but I’m ready to fight for Top Fives and will be pushing hard to finish these last six races. The team is still highly motivated, I am still highly motivated. I think we can close out this last 1/3 of the championship improving even more and on a high.”
The BHA team will enjoy their first weekend off since since the first of May before heading to California Speedway in Fontana, CA for the second 500-mile race of the season on June 27th. Chaves finished second there in 2013’s Indy Lights race, and looks to improve on his two strong appearances on ovals in the Verizon IndyCar Series.
