2026 Arrow McLaren Mission Foods Grand Prix of Monterey Race Report
Arrow McLaren closed out the 2026 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season Sunday with Christian and Pato securing third- and fourth-place finishes in the championship standings, respectively.
After 95 laps of racing, Christian gained five positions over 95 laps to finish sixth, while Pato and Nolan crossed the line in P11 and P24.
With the season in the books, Arrow McLaren’s focus now shifts to its first full offseason at the McLaren Racing Center, where the foundation for the 2027 NTT INDYCAR SERIES campaign will take shape.
Christian Lundgaard – No. 7 VELO Arrow McLaren Chevrolet
Starting Position: P11
Finishing Position: P6
Final Championship Standing: P3, 535 points
“Today was long race, a lot of tire degradation the field had to work through. We had to fight a little harder with the engine penalty to get up to sixth, and it’s a shame we couldn’t snag one more position into fifth. Congrats to Kirkwood, edging us out of second in the championship. Our entire 7 VELO crew did an awesome job, though, today and all season to complete every single lap across 18 races. I’m really proud of how we raced this year together. My crew, my engineers, everyone did their part. And I’m thankful for all the papaya fans who’ve supported me the past two seasons. We’ll take home third in the championship, my highest finish yet.”

Pato O’Ward – No. 5 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet
Starting Position: P10
Finishing Position: P11
Final Championship Standing: P4, 522 points
“P4 in the championship this year. Obviously, we always look for more considering we were second last year. We faced a lot of challenges this year but it was nice to get three wins on-track. That was definitely the highlight. Other than that, our bad days are too bad, and we need to make that better and give it another go next year. Appreciate all the fans for their support, and seeing so many of you at the track this year.”
Nolan Siegel – No. 6 NTT DATA Arrow McLaren Chevrolet
Starting Position: P15
Finishing Position: P24
Final Championship Standing: P20, 259 points
“Tough one today. I had hoped for a better finale, but I want to thank the 6 crew for all their hard work over the past two-plus years. We had our highs and lows, but proud that we stuck at it and continued to fight our way forward. Thank you to the papaya fans, as well, for the great memories.”
