Indianapolis, Indiana (May 20, 2018) – Juncos Racing rookie Kyle Kaiser officially qualified 17th among the highly competitive field of 33 for the 102ndRunning of the Indianapolis 500 presented by PennGrade Motor Oil.

After a week full of long practice sessions, and a dramatic qualifying Bump Day, Kyle Kaiser delivered Juncos Racing their best starting position in the Verizon IndyCar Series at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Kaiser will make his fourth start of the 2018 season next week on the 2.5-mile oval.
“What an amazing day. I am in shock right now that we are going to be starting 17th for the 102nd Running of the Indianapolis 500. It was a stellar performance by the team. They gave me a super quick car for qualifying. The conditions were very challenging as the wind picked up and it got really hot, but we made it through and put in the best lap in the NFP Chevy. I am so proud of the entire Juncos Racing crew and I am thrilled to represent NFP in the race next weekend.”
Team Owner Ricardo Juncos said “Wow, what a week we have had here at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. We made a lot of progress and fought through the challenges we faced with different setups. Kyle (Kaiser) did an excellent job all week. He spent hours with the engineers and crew working on making this a fast race car. I am beyond pleased with how far he has come with such little track time this season. He has proven he is one of the top rookies in this field and I am looking forward to seeing him in his first 500 next weekend. I want to thank the crew for all of their work these past few weeks and delivering a fast-qualifying car. I also want to thank NFP for coming on board and supporting us this month.”
