LONG BEACH, Calif. (Oct. 15, 2015) – It’s time to speed into spring! Tickets for the 42nd Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, set to run April 15-17, 2016, go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. PT.

With a wide array of on- and off-track activities for the entire family, the 2016 Grand Prix will be headlined by a round of the Verizon IndyCar Series, expected to include celebrated drivers such as defending series champion and Long Beach winner Scott Dixon; past Long Beach winners Helio Castroneves, Juan Pablo Montoya, Will Power, Ryan Hunter-Reay and Takuma Sato, as well as Marco Andretti and Graham Rahal driving wheel-to-wheel on the famed 1.97-mile, 11-turn circuit through downtown Long Beach.

In addition to the Indy cars, the 2016 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach will also feature the 40th anniversary running of the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race, expected to boast an all-star cast of past winners and participants to celebrate the prestigious race’s four decades of giving to local children’s charities. Also set for the three-day weekend: the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, featuring the top sports cars in North America; the KMC Wheels Super Drift Challenge under the lights on Friday and Saturday nights; SPEED Energy Off-Road Series featuring Robby Gordon’s jumping super trucks, and the Pirelli World Challenge.

“With the 40th anniversary Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race, plus everything else we have to offer, the 2016 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach will be an event to remember,” said Jim Michaelian, president and CEO of the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach. “As the number one street race in America combined with all that the City of Long Beach has to offer, the Grand Prix will again be the best family entertainment value in Southern California.”

The event’s family entertainment menu also includes free Friday and Saturday night concerts and the Lifestyle Expo featuring a huge Family Fun Zone with racing simulators, kids’ racing cars, computer games and action sports. Add to that multiple driver autograph sessions, special events and exhibits highlighting the Grand Prix’s history, the popular Food Truck Experience and Sunday’s Mothers Exotic Car Paddock, it’s a weekend that will be packed full of activity.

Ticket prices for the three-day event range from $30 for a Friday General Admission ticket to $142 for a three-day ticket that includes Sat./Sun. reserved seating in grandstand upper levels. Pre-paid parking packages are also available, along with handicapped seating, Verizon IndyCar Paddock access passes, Super Photo tickets and a wide variety of Hospitality Club packages.
