TSO News - Kentucky - Friday - Morning IndyCar Practice Notes
</title>
<description>
Sorry for the delay in the Indy Lights notes - we could have sworn we hit "send" before we headed out, but obviously wrong there.

A yellow for moisture caused a 25 minute delay in the session - the radar looked clear this morning, but the clouds certainly looked dark. The blob that brought rain was not large or heavy, but it was enough to change the color of the pavement. The session ran a little long before a return of the rain brought an end to the final IndyCar practice before qualifying. Times are at the end of this update.

The rain has currently stopped and we see patches of blue sky in the distance, so we currently anticipate Indy Lights Qualifying starting at noon as scheduled.

TSO News - Kentucky - Friday - 8:40am
</title>
<description>
Good morning from Kentucky Speedway, where there's a busy day of action in preparation for the Kentucky Indy 300.

Fortunately, the weather has remained dry overnight and the radar looks to be clear, though it's rather overcast. The word "rain" at this track brings concerns around weepers after last year's much delayed weekend and the open test here that was all but a washout due to a recurrence of weepers. Bruton Smith may have promised he was going to fix the weepers, but we don't believe anything has been done around the issue. Still - no rain should mean no problem with weepers, right?

Here's today's schedule - all times EDT:

9:00-10:00am Firestone Indy Lights Practice
10:15-11:15 IZOD IndyCar Practice
12:00pm Firestone Indy Lights Qualifying
1:30 IZOD IndyCar Qualifying
4:30 Autograph Session (Midway)
6:15-6:45 Firestone Indy Lights Practice
7:00-7:30 IZOD IndyCar Practice

Conquest PR - Scheckter returns to Conquest Racing at Kentucky Speedway
</title>
<description>
 Tomas Scheckter will be back behind the wheel of the #36 Conquest Racing car, which will have primary sponsorship from Norcote International, for this weekend’s Kentucky Indy 300.

Conquest Racing will be welcoming Scheckter for a second consecutive race. The South African made his debut with the team last weekend at Chicagoland Speedway, where he was unfortunately taken out of the race after five laps.

"We're very happy to have Tomas back with us for this weekend at Kentucky Speedway," expressed team owner Eric Bachelart. "Sadly his race was short-lived at Chicagoland but in the little time he had in the car over the weekend he did an excellent job and we're looking forward to having him in the car again. His experience on ovals was of great help to the team.

"The car was really good at Chicago and I think we can keep on improving heading into Kentucky. I'm confident that we can leave there with a good result."
