Simona de Silvestro
After making a name for herself in the European ranks..2005 in Forula Renault, '06 Formula BMW (1 win). From there she raced in 2007, '08 and '09 in the Atlantic series ( getting 4 wins and 4 poles).
Next was 3 seasons with Keith Wiggins and HVM Racing. The first two seasons were ok with moderate success, but 2012 was a real struggle. HVM was the lone team to run the Lotus for the entire season. Greatly under powered they soldiered on. With little hope of being competitive Simona continued to give it her best never complaining their situation. On October 30, 2012, Simona signed on to KV Racing Technology for the 2013 IndyCar Season, driving the No. 78 with sponsorship from the Nuclear Clean Air Energy and making KV Racing Technology a two-car team. Her teamate is the veteran Tony Kaanan.

The sporting and technical regulations that comprise the 2013 IZOD IndyCar Series rulebook were released to teams today by INDYCAR.
"In 2012, the IZOD IndyCar Series saw an exciting season with an all-time high level of competition between our teams," said Beaux Barfield, Race Director, IZOD IndyCar Series. "For 2013, we have adjusted processes and regulations throughout the rulebook to build on last year's successful introduction of a new car and engine package. In addition to enhancing the on-track competition and producing rules consistency, the 2013 rulebook is focused on changes that will make the sport easier to follow for our competitors and fans."

INDYCAR, the sanctioning body of the IZOD IndyCar Series, hired Trevor Knowles as director of engine development.
Trevor, who will report to INDYCAR's Vice President of Technology Will Phillips, will work in developing the rules and performance standards for the three IZOD IndyCar Series engine manufacturers beginning in 2012.
"This will ensure they are competing within the rules defined by INDYCAR. I'm happy to have someone of Trevor's experience join the team."
Trevor has an extensive motorsport background with experience in INDYCAR, NASCAR and Formula 1. He worked with Penske Racing and Evernham Motorsports in NASCAR and also worked with Honda Performance Development, helping develop the 2003-2006 Honda Indy V-8 engine and the Acura's P2 engine for ALMS.
