Ok, the race itself was a crash fest. Good thing the fans here are used to the NASCAR events here which can also be demolition derbies. Also good thing there were 26 cars here and that they added 50 laps. Though it was the extra cars that seemed to create a lot of the carnage.

When it was said and done, there were 9 cautions for 102 laps. Most of them came early. We had more yellow than green a lot of the time, finally swinging to more green than yellow for good on lap 183.

Why Subscribe to TrackSide Online?

Focused:
We don't cover every series out there - we focus on the IndyCar Series, and have done so since the IRL's inception in 1996. We have multiple staff members at every IRL event - open tests, the Firestone Indy Lights, every day of action at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, even the event at Twin Ring Motegi. We're in the garages and at the press conferences finding out tomorrow's news today. Maybe that's why car owners, drivers, IRL management, and members of the radio and television broadcast teams all subscribe to TSO.

More Than News:
Not only do we cover the news, but we try to make you feel like you're at the event yourself. TSO has photographers at each event taking photos of the action on the track, in the garages, and behind the scenes.

Get It How You Want It:
