Texas Post Race and Final

Well, here are the notes from another hot, action packed evening at the Texas Motor Speedway.

First, a couple interesting things we picked up. Add Mexico City to your list of potential venues for 2009 and in particular 2010. The IRL will head down there tomorrow to check out the venue there to see if that might be somewhere they will be racing in the future. From what we've heard, that is possible, but an IRL official told us recently that "maybe there is somewhere else in Mexico where we might want to go."

That could just be a faint to toss in some vagueness as they work through the schedule, but it is certainly possible that we could see the IRL somewhere else.

Again, the IRL is trying to get everything in line and make an announcement in mid-July, but that is certainly not guaranteed.

Why Subscribe to TrackSide Online?

Focused:
We don't cover every series out there - we focus on the IndyCar Series, and have done so since the IRL's inception in 1996. We have multiple staff members at every IRL event - open tests, the Firestone Indy Lights, every day of action at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, even the event at Twin Ring Motegi. We're in the garages and at the press conferences finding out tomorrow's news today. Maybe that's why car owners, drivers, IRL management, and members of the radio and television broadcast teams all subscribe to TSO.

More Than News:
Not only do we cover the news, but we try to make you feel like you're at the event yourself. TSO has photographers at each event taking photos of the action on the track, in the garages, and behind the scenes.
