Kanaan receives Pole Award

Good morning from St. Petersburg where practice is already underway for the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. The first order of business is usually the weather, and today will be no exception. It is presently 73 degrees with 82% humidity and quite a bit of haze here overlooking the marina.

The sun is currently out and working to burn off that haze, but the weather forecasters are saying we have a 60% chance of rain later this afternoon. The best chance of rain comes after 2:00pm today, and tomorrow's forecast is somewhat similar, though the rain opportunity comes all day as a front is expected to stall out over the area tonight and tomorrow.

The high today is expected to be 86, so the mixture of heat and humidity could make for a pretty uncomfortable day.

Why Subscribe to TrackSide Online?

Focused:
We don't cover every series out there - we focus on the IndyCar Series, and have done so since the IRL's inception in 1996. We have multiple staff members at every IRL event - open tests, the Firestone Indy Lights, every day of action at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, even the event at Twin Ring Motegi. We're in the garages and at the press conferences finding out tomorrow's news today. Maybe that's why car owners, drivers, IRL management, and members of the radio and television broadcast teams all subscribe to TSO.

More Than News:
Not only do we cover the news, but we try to make you feel like you're at the event yourself. TSO has photographers at each event taking photos of the action on the track, in the garages, and behind the scenes.
