Take a historic lap around The Milwaukee Mile in a Harry Miller Club Vintage Indy Car on Saturday, July 11 at Milwaukee IndyFest

Milwaukee (June 23, 2015) – Fans have an opportunity to ride around the historic Milwaukee Mile in a Harry Miller Club Vintage Indy Car with all proceeds benefiting the charity, Racing For Kids.

Founded in Detroit in 1989, Racing For Kids is designed to use the increasing popularity of motorsports to focus public attention and funding on the health care needs of children. Every year, IndyCar drivers travel to children’s hospitals around the country creating memories that will last a lifetime.

“What a great opportunity!” Says Pat Wright, executive director of Racing For Kids. “You get an exciting ride around the historic Milwaukee Mile in a vintage Indy Car and help sick kids in the process. It doesn’t get any better than that.”

“Getting involved with Racing For Kids was an easy decision for us,” says Dana Mecum, president of the Harry Miller Club. “There is no opportunity in sports where you can experience the thrill and history quite like auto racing, and to have the proceeds benefit Racing For Kids makes it even more special.”

“Milwaukee IndyFest has been an active partner with Racing For Kids for almost five years and every year we look for new and exciting ways to incorporate them into the fabric of Milwaukee IndyFest,” says Kevin Healy, managing director of Andretti Sports Marketing. “Thanks to the great people at the Harry Miller Club, we can give fans a nostalgic experience at The Milwaukee Mile that is not only a once in a lifetime opportunity, but also a great way to support kids and their families and the important work of Racing For Kids.”
