Team Chevy Racing Display a Double Bonus for Long Beach Fans
Combined Chevrolet display highlights Verizon IndyCar Series, TUDOR Championship

DETROIT (April 16, 2015) – For fans attending this weekend’s Grand Prix of Long Beach, a double dose of Team Chevy awaits Friday through Sunday. Chevrolet Racing will feature two displays inside the Long Beach Lifestyle Expo. It’s a rare opportunity to see some of the best that Team Chevy has to offer with the Verizon IndyCar Series and TUDOR United SportsCar Championship sharing the same weekend.

Each display will be open to fans visiting the Convention Center starting at 8 a.m. Friday through Sunday.  Visitors can take their photo with the Corvette C7.R display car, and check out other specialty vehicles including the Ultimate Track Camaro SS enhanced with Z/28 performance parts, a Corvette Z06, and the 2015 Motor Trend Truck of the Year, the Chevrolet Colorado.

Additional production vehicles on display include the 2015 Corvette Stingray, Malibu, Silverado 3500 HD Duramax Diesel, Trax, Equinox, SS Sedan as well as the Impala and Tahoe activated with 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspots

There also will be a display of Chevrolet crate engines, performance parts and accessories that are available for fans to purchase from their local Chevrolet dealer.

In addition, adults and kids can participate in a number of interactive games including racing simulators. Fans also can fill out electronic questionnaires and receive a complementary Chevrolet t-shirt.

“Having the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship and the Verizon IndyCar Series at Long Beach is a highlight of the road-racing season,” said Jeff Chew, Manager Business Strategy and Operations for Chevrolet Racing. “The Long Beach weekend highlights Chevrolet’s involvement in both series, and we are happy to invite event attendees – whether they are open-wheel, sports car or new fans to racing – to get a closer look at our involvement in top-level motorsports. A number of our knowledgeable product specialists will be on hand to answer any questions and help visitors get the most out of their visit to these Chevrolet Racing displays.”

A number of Chevrolet V6 IndyCar drivers will visit the Chevy IndyCar display during the weekend. On Saturday, defending Verizon IndyCar Series champion Will Power, Juan Pablo Montoya, Helio Castroneves and Simon Pagenaud – all from Team Penske – will be available for fan Q&As at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 18.

Carpenter Fisher Hartman Racing’s Ed Carpenter, Luca Filippi and Josef Newgarden will visit the Chevy display at 11:30 a.m.Sunday, April 19.

The Grand Prix of Long Beach, the third round of the Verizon IndyCar Series, is set for 4:30 p.m. ET on Sunday with live coverage on the NBC Sports Network. The TUDOR Championship’s Tequila Patrón Sports Car Showcase is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET Saturday with live coverage on IMSA.com. FOX Sports 1 will broadcast the race at 4 p.m. ET Sunday.
